Prospective Plant Parent: Spaths are the perfect choice for beginners, people who love plants that bloom, or anyone who has space with low, indirect light.
Difficulty: Tranquil and trouble-free. (Super easy!)
Lighting: Spaths prefer low-light conditions and can tolerate fluorescent lights. Yellow or pale leaves indicate that the plant is getting too much light.
Watering: Spaths do not like their soil to dry out completely. Water when 1-2” of the topsoil feels dry. If you have highly chlorinated water, allow water to stand overnight so the chlorine can percolate and not affect your plant.
Humidity: Native to tropical rainforests, Spaths prefer damp warmth and high humidity. If Spaths are not kept in a humid room, spritz leaves weekly to increase moisture.
Temperature: Spaths grow best when they are warm and cozy in temperatures between 65-90 degrees.
