Prospective Plant Parent: Nephthytis are fantastic plants for beginners, forgetful plant owners, or veining plant lovers.

Difficulty: Give a little love and then watch your plant grow a lot of love in the form of heart-shaped leaves! (Super easy.)

Lighting: Depending on the variety and color, this plant can survive in low to high indirect light. The lighter the leaves, the more light it prefers. Watch for direct sunlight that will bleach the leaves.

Watering: Nephythtis grow best in soil that is not overly damp. Water when the top 1-2” inches of soil are dry. Droopy, limp leaves are usually a sign that the plant needs a drink.

Humidity: Your choice! Native to tropical regions of tropical western Africa, Nephythtis can survive in normal household humidity, but your plant would enjoy an occasional misting.

Temperature: These plants grow best in temperatures between 60-75 degrees. If you are comfortable, your plant is comfortable.
